Advanced Open Water Class

It’s a well-known fact in the diving community that divers who have completed the Advanced Certification are statistically much more competent divers, tend to dive with great frequency, and enjoy diving as a life-long activity. You should find this class to be interesting, fun, and will give you supervised experience with the most common types of advanced diving.

This 3 week class consists of flexible academic sessions, 2 pool sessions, and 5 Open Water Dives. The academics are quite different than your initial scuba certification class. During the orientation you will schedule several academic sessions with your instructor to informally discuss ideas and techniques found in your assigned chapters. There are no academic tests. To prepare for these sessions, it’s best to watch the appropriate section of your video, read the corresponding chapter, and complete the knowledge review at the end of the chapter. Along with this generic advanced diving information, your instructor will customize information for your particular diving interests. During the pool sessions, you will have the opportunity to polish your basic diving skills, and become familiar with some advanced skills. On our Open Water Dives, you will become familiar with 5 types of advanced diving under the supervision of your instructor.
